I always wanted to be a singer, it’s what I wanted to do since I was little. I’m doing it now and I couldn’t be happier.” This is what the finalist of Indian Idol 3, Parleen Gill has to say about his phenominal and profecient singing. Parleen, a name not new to the people was born on 15th September 1987, inculcated the talent of singing and dancing at a very young age and was involved in his several local talent shows and competitions. He gets his values, discipline and great personality from his father who is a proud gazetted officer of the Indian Army. Parleen as a solo artist is not only extolled for his polished singing but also for being a great performer and is the hearthrob of most of the youngsters. He is the epitome of looks, personality, humble nature and ofcourse great singing which makes him one of the most idiosyncratic contestants of the entire Indian Idol series. He is known to be charming, simple and romantic. Well this explains the reason for such a huge female fan following.

After achieving such great heights in Indian Idol, he became the member of the famous “F4 Band” which was formed in contract with SONY BMG consisting of Meiyang Chang, Abhishek Kumar, Suhit Gosain and Parleen himself from 2007-2009. The band released their album “Tu Toh Na Aayi” in 2008 which was a huge hit among the youngsters. He was also the “Artist of the month” for Channel [V] and one of the rising stars for channel ETC and many more.

Parleen is a sui generis artist with the ability to combine his singing and dancing to keep you entertained throughout. He is one of the most versatile and accessible singers. Also worth mentioning is his talent of being able to sing in different languages like Hindi, English, Bhojpuri, Gujarati, Marathi, Nepali and Punjabi to suit the taste of the audience ranging from old classic numbers to the current hot pop songs. He is truely a delight to listen and watch . He has performed worldwide with an assortment of well known artists like Hritik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Shankar Mahadevan, Strings (the Band), Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Mika, K.K, Sunidhi Chauhan, Saleem Merchant, Euphoria and many more.

Apart from singing he has also been a radio jockey with Red FM 93.5 for 1.5 years. Many people are also aware of the fact that he had been a part of Indian Idol – 2 and reached top 50 in theatre round.
